Our Staff

We have teachers on board who love little children and have had many years of experience working with these little ones.

Chris Klein

Chris is the director of Kiddie Kollege. She has a degree in Elementary Education for Buena Vista University. Chris has three years of experience teaching Kindergarten in a Montessori school, and eight years of experience in the preschool setting. Chris is very passionate about education as she has home schooled her four children from kindergarten to high school.

Ellen Wilmert

Lead Teacher since 2007. Ellen comes with many years of working with children. She led our gym activities for many years and has been our art director for just as long. At present, she is responsible for the 5-day 3 and 4 year old class.

Ellen is a wife and mother of four children, three of whom are married. She has three grandchildren and one more on the way.

Erika Hipsher

Lead teacher since 2016. With a Bachelor's Degree from UNO in Music Education, Erika has spent many years teaching instrumental music in Omaha Public Schools and some private schools prior to coming to Kiddie Kollege.

Erika is responsible for the 5-day 4s and 5s in Kiddie Kollege.

Erika has a daughter who is a freshman at UNO and a son who is in marching band at North High School, Omaha. She is the new president of the Marching Band Parents Association at North HS.

Kathy Walter

This is Kathy's second year at Kiddie Kollege. She taught Kindergarten in Pensacola, Florida for six years before moving back to Omaha and working at Grace University for many years in various positions. She has been, and continues to be, very active in many church activities for children.

Kathy co-teaches with Ellen in the 3 and 4 year old class.
